Manfred Gebhardt celebrates his 70th birthday

He has spent years as an active member of the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Companies (Bundesverband Mittelständische Wirtschaft) and in 2006, received  an honour for his charity work from his hometown of Werl. Gebhardt started out as a steel dealer in 1973 with just a desk in his living room. Today, according to the company's own statistics, the German site alone processes 60,000 t. steel for clients all over the world. Most recently, the company has developed products in the business of window construction. 2010 was characterised as a year of change: From trade with steel to the processing and production of high-tech composite systems made from high-tensile plastic combines with steel. The sucession to Manfred Gebhardt has now been passed to the Managing Directors Gert Schneider and Ralf Neuhaus. Dirk Thörner and Dominik Hoffmann act as official representatives.
