A successful trade fair: the ISH in Frankfurt

Werl. GEBHARDT-STAHL can certainly look back on its current trade fair activities with satisfaction. At ISH Frankfurt, the world's leading trade fair for technology used in bathroom, building, energy and air conditioning applications, the Werl-based company unveiled its new clinched air duct section. The special feature: As a result of the clinching, among other things, a very high level of torsional rigidity is achieved. The especially stable section is available with and without butyl sealant. Moreover, by clinching, the handling of the flange mounting is made easier when attaching the prefabricated panel frame on the air duct. Werner Wenzlokat, Sales Manager at GEBHARDT-STAHL, is still enthusiastic about the good level of interest at the ISH trade fair: ‘Due to the successful presentation of our new developments, we were able to make many new contacts at home and abroad.’

GEBHARDT-STAHL also introduced its new ‘Plus’ threaded clamp which is characterised by its special geometry. The threaded clamp fits into the section directly because of its special ‘grip’. It only selectively pinches in the section and in the process does not produce holes. As a result of the defined three-point support, unwanted deformations to the section are avoided. Another benefit: The V-groove of the clamp. It stiffens the base plate by 50% and as such, increases the strength. Even installation is very simple, as it is not possible for the clamp to become twisted during assembly. Of course, the product has been registered for a patent.

To mark the expansion of its range of accessories, the Werl-based company also used the ISH to showcase its specially developed sealant ‘Densa Plast’. It is a ready-to-use single component sealant for air ducts and ventilation systems. At the same time, the sealant acts as a sound insulator for sheet metal joints. It meets the hygienic requirements for use in clean rooms and the specifications of the VDI 6022/1 directive. Other benefits: The grey sealant is resistant to aging and weathering, non-fading and is plastoelastic. It adheres to almost all building materials and withstands temperatures ranging from minus 20 to plus 80 degrees Celsius. In addition, it is odourless, solvent-free and silicone-free. The sealant can be painted over and provides excellent adhesion to metals.

For Werner Wenzlokat, Sales Manager at GEBHARDT-STAHL, the ISH event was a complete success: “Up until now, almost nobody has associated Gebhardt-Stahl with a wide range of accessories. Here, we were able to update and expand our range in constant dialogue with our customers as well as exhibit our products to a broad audience of specialists. The response was very good, and it has doubled compared to 2009 (with 204,000 visitors to the fair). Once again, the ISH has proven its position as the world's leading exhibition for the HVAC industry.”

As a small token of appreciation, the company mixed cocktails for clients and guests on its own 65 m² trade fair stand. As Werner Wenzlokat happily adds, “That was a hit, and prompted many conversations - just as we intended.”
